Description

  • Join us for a high quality, private land management hunt opportunity four hours southwest of Dallas, TX. These smaller groups will present phenomenal opportunities both for excellent hunting and memorable moments together.
  • We have access to a few box blinds on a 7000 acre high fence property that has been managed for producing big bucks for over 16 years. We'll be guests of Ps Chris Binion, whose hunt club operates the property, and we'll hunt his personal stands.
  • This is a management hunt which means we'll be looking to harvest older bucks that won't reach the full potential of this property (yes that means a big old Texas 8 point is considered a cull buck here but a trophy anywhere else!). Some younger bucks will also be on the list as well as does, or even hogs or coyotes if an opportunity arises. Every hunter will sit with a guide who will make the final call on what can and cannot be harvested since the property operates with very strict guidelines that have served them well.
  • On this property cull bucks can be anything from spikes to 8 points, scoring as much as 150 inches. A main frame 8 point needs to be 3.5 years or older. Does are also harvested.
  • Hunting will be 2x1, with two hunters per blind with a guide, rotating who is on the gun. There will be seven opportunities to hunt, mornings and evenings. Additionally we'll take the chance to check guns at the range on Monday morning before the first hunt that evening.
  • Our accommodation will be in comfortable RVs with all the modern amenities. Chris is a gifted host, loves to cook, and takes great joy in creating moments and memories for his guests.
  • No hunting experience is required for this trip, and it's possible to borrow rifles, left and right handed, of various calibers. Rifles suitable for younger hunters are also available. Ammunition for these is provided. Of course, you're also welcome to bring your own gun & ammunition of a suitable caliber.

Registration

  • Your registration cost of $1000 includes meals, accommodation, hunting guides, and ground transport.
  • Excludes air travel, your Texas hunting license (in 2024 that was $315 for non-resident adults, and $7 for youth under 17 yrs), and meat processing, taxidermy and shipping if you choose to take a harvest home.
  • Registrations options - register and pay in full, or payment plan of three installments (offered until four months out from the event)
  • Refund Policy - We all have busy lives and challenges that come up, so short of an absolute emergency let’s make sure our yes is yes. A $500 fee will be deducted from refunds requested more than 30 days before the event. Within 30 days, no refunds will be given other than under extraordinary circumstances.

Travel

  • If you plan to drive we'll finalize a meeting location closer to the date, once all guests and travel plans are finalized.

  • If you're flying in, please fly into Dallas Love Airport (DAL airport, not DFW) on the Sunday afternoon/ evening of your retreat. If for any reason you feel you need to fly into DFW, please communicate with us prior to paying for your flight so we can coordinate ground transport.

  • OPTIONAL - Our host Chris pastors a church in Dalles, so you're welcome to fly in a night early on Sat to join him for church and some extra time together.
  • For your flight home you'll be able to depart any time on the Friday morning of your retreat. We'll be staying near the airport in a hotel the evening before.

  • Book flights early. In the current market flights are fluctuating greatly so we strongly suggest booking flights right after you register unless you plan to drive.

Things To Note

  • On this retreat, some guys might enjoy a cigar.

  • This is a dry retreat so there won't be alcohol and the hunt camp.

Next Steps

  • After you register below you'll want to organize your flights (unless you're driving).
  • We'll also get you more information on how to pack, who else is coming, and more as the retreat gets closer.
